Join us for an evening with Dolen Perkins-Valdez, the New York Times bestselling, NAACP Image Award-winning author of Take My Hand. Perkins-Valdez will be in conversation with Tayari Jones to discuss her riveting new novel Happy Land, the story of a woman who learns the astonishing truth of her family’s ties to a vanished American Kingdom.

Mark your calendars! This year's Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 19 from 10:00-11:30 am! We'll have egg hunts for three age groups, a popup market of booths and vendors, and a special appearance by the one and only Easter Bunny! Join Legacy Ministry for a train ride through the mountains with Blue Ridge Scenic Railway! On April 24, we'll arrive at FBCD at 6:30 am (for a 7:00 am departure).
Decatur Avondale Children’s Choir proudly presents their 16th Annual Spring Concert, All Nature Sings, Sunday, April 27th at 4:00 pm. Doors open at 3:30 pm for general seating. Admission is FREE. Concert Reception on the Front Lawn Afterwards (Weather Permitting).
