Visual Arts Guild


The FBCD Visual Arts Guild is a fellowship of individuals interested in expressing the love of God’s world and the stories of its people through teaching, workshops, exhibits, and special events. The Guild seeks to stimulate increased awareness and benefits of visual arts while reaching out to the church and community.

ovations concert series

Ovations Concert Series are opportunities to experience a wide range of music styles and talents. Concerts are presented on Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m. and are free of charge to the community. Find the latest Ovations Concert Series announcements in the News & Events listing.

Decatur Fine Arts Academy

The Decatur Fine Arts Academy serves the church family and the Decatur community by offering quality musical group instruction to adults, children and preschoolers. Private instruction is also available. Recitals and worship events offer opportunity for participants to showcase their talents. christmas on Clairemont

First Baptist Church Decatur is presenting Christmas on Clairemont at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016, hosted by our organist Daniel Solberg. This elegant, timeless music performed by world-class artists is free of charge. An offering will be taken to benefit clean drinking water in the Lake Victoria region of Kenya.

Dinner and a Show

A most amazing ooh la la Dinner and a Show happens in Carreker Hall. The show features a variety of talent— from the FBCD church family and the broader Decatur and Atlanta community. Community concerts

Various community concerts are performed in the beautiful First Baptist Church Decatur sanctuary. The Decatur Civic Chorus, Celli & Friends, and Our Song are Decatur and Atlanta area choruses which present at FBCD. Although not an official part of the music ministry of the church, these community partners offer a richness of musical arts. Some concerts are free and some are ticketed.
